They bear resemblance to Percy Jackson and the Olympians in that it's a teen-type-person suddenly dealing with the realization that Greek mythology is far from fiction. However, one thing that Anne Ursu's series has over Rick Riordan's would be her ability to entwine humor into almost every sentence.  I\u2019m sure that these books don\u2019t fall under the comedy genre (rather action or adventure) but when reading the Shadow Thieves during a cold stay in Vermont I laughed myself hoarse.
