    Ash (An Amazing Fantasy Romance)
    Ash by Malinda

Wait… a fantasy romance that Marie ADORES? Don’t worry, there’s no reason to get your eyes checked. You read that right. It is a romance, and Marie loves it. Shh. Cover your ears while I whisper sweet things to it.

I digress. Let’s get several things clear. This contains no vampires, werewolves, or pansy dandelions that sparkle. This novel takes place in a legitimate fantasy world… where less and less believe in the old fairy tales (which are nothing like our own.)

Ash, our delightful protagonist, lives in a small town close to the Woods where most still believe in fairy tales and magic. Her mother still lives in the old ways while her father is a merchant and doesn’t believe in “such nonsense.” After her mother dies, her father marries Lady Isobel from the city. (not the modern day urban city.) Her father soon dies, whisking Ash off to a Cinderella tale in the city where fairy tales don’t exist, with Lady Isobel and Ash’s two new stepsisters.
What Ash doesn’t know is that before her mother died, she cursed the fairy prince into loving a human. Ash finds comfort in a prince only she knows about, but meets kind Kaisa, the King’s Huntress, whom she loves.

The story is coherent, suspenseful, sprinkled with elegant prose, and amazing characters. You get to know Ash, the prince, and the huntress, and grow to like all of them.

I easily recommend this to fantasy and romance lovers. It should be on the fantasy book display, unless already checked out.

The Demon King By: Cinda Williams Chima
This is the first book of soon to be a four part series. Han Alister, theif turned wizard, lives in a small, very poor town in Fellsmarch. For as long as he can remember he has worn thick braclets made of siver with runes carved in them, but every attemt to remove them have failed. One day he and Dancer were out hunting when they come across three young mages, doing vey powerful magic. Dancer wants to confront them because mages arnt allowed in Fellsmarch. However Han knows that the circle of mages are not a force to be trifled with, this dose not stop Dancer who procceds to drive the mages away from thier village, but not before taking the amulet of power that one of the mages was wearing. Han later relizes that this same amulet was the one worn my "The Demon King", ceunturys ago when he almost destroyed the world with magic more powerful than the world had ever saw. I am sorry but I cant say anymore with out giving away some major parts in this book. But in all seriousness this is a very very good high fantasy book for anyone in Middle School to High School.

Beautiful Darkness by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl
After Macons funeral, Lena begins to distance herself from Ethan, hanging out with bad guys, Ridley to name one, convinced she is going dark. But Ethan wont give up on the girl he loves. This is a great sequel that will keep you guessing until the very end.

    rangers apprentice-the battle for skandia
I liked the battle for skandia, it has more action and shows a greater demonstration of the rangers skills. the previous books were less action filled than battle for skandia.

    The Crucible By: Aurthor Miller
We just finished reading "The Cruicible" in English, and I have to say that I absolutly love this book (play). We have read quite a few book i our english classes scince starting High School, and this one is right up there with "Of Mice and Men". This book really grasps me because it is a true representation of what some people will do just to get of the hook. It is written about The Salem witch trial, changing very little from the actual records of the trials themselves. This book has it all, drama, mystery, tension, and above all else love till the very end. This is a true American classic.

    Mockingjay By Suzanne Collins
I loved the first two books but the last few chapters really lost me, i didnt pay attention enough i guess to see that Katniss was dreaming. I couldnt understand how Finnick was alive if one of the creature/monster things in the sewers rips his head off? I also didnt like it when coin dropped the parachute bomb things.
